no protien skimmer/sump

I do not have a protien skimmer or sump, I am saving up for one. Until then what I can do to try to prolong and keep my bubble coral and rose brain coral doing well. Is it frequent water changes?


Any suggestions....

Yes. Water changes are your best friend. I have a sumpless 40 gallon mixed reef. Although I have a skimmer, I am religious about water changes. Really help in smaller systems.
