Non closed loop peninsula plumbing pictrues needed...

I am in the planning stages of my new tank but need some information from you guys. I plan on having a tank setup like my last tank where its viewed through a wall. The catch is because I want a wide tank 36" I do not want to put the plumbing on the back of the tank since its already going to be stretch to reach the front of the tank. Also I do not want to have any access panels from the front of the tank or drill holes in the bottom of the tank. I want it to look like a picture frame. I would rather put the plumbing on one side like a peninsula style tank but it will not be viewable from three sides if that makes sense. For those that have a peninsula style tank with out a closed loop but plumbing over the side can you post a picture of your plumbing and sump configuration. I need some ideas and inspiration. I am having a hard time visualizing the plumbing not getting in the way of lighting.

Dimensions so far:
78" x 36" x 26" overall but 72" x 36" x 26"* effective see below for explanation

*An internal 36" x 6" box on right side with 3 x 1 -1/2" holes for bean or herbie overflow. The internal box will essentially make my tank a 72" X 36" x 26" viewable through the wall.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Tough one. I went closed loop and buried it in the rock.
I will search around and see what I can come up with

FFrankie - Thanks! I have been combing through a bunch of threads but it seems most have closed loops and buried in the rock like you mentioned.

FFrankie - I have looked at them. I am trying to decide on getting Oceans Motions, FlowWolf, SCWD, in conjuction with something like the sea swirls. So many decision! I think I may have to run the PVC along the top like I have my current tank for the electrical. If I go with OM I am I will have to stack them on top of each other which may work but I will have to get a hell of a pump to push it up and over. I could create a bracket so that they don't move as well.

Np. Did you look into sea swirls?
You can run pvc along the top rim of the tank to the front with your return and have these directed back to the rear of the tank.

Interesting. Never heard of the flowWolf before. Similar to the OM. I am digging it.
SCWD while good concept, it never floated my boat to be honest.
The OM on the other hand is time proven to be a great tool for flow.
Also wave boxes have come a long way and I have considered them for my next large build.
You have much planning yet it seems. I will continue to tag along with your progress.
I don't spend much time on this site so be sure to link any new threads here so I am notified of your progress.
Good luck!

FFrankie - a buddy of mine has the flowwolf so I am waiting to see what he says. The fact it digital is really cool but like you said the OM is proven. I had a SCWD on my 90 and loved it. It simple cost effective and works! Its funny how much planning goes into the tank. I went by my new home today and they are coming along nicely. The foundation is laid and in two weeks or so they say I should see framing so I need to wrap up my decisions pretty quickly. I will start a new thread soon in the large tank forum and let you know once I place an order for my new tank. It think the size will be what I have stated here 78" x 36" x 26". I am excited and nervous at the same time!
