Noob to DownFlakes and Baking Soda???

I just found out about this downflake and baking soda stuff. I'll be buying a big bag of downflake this week. How do I mix it per gallon? Is it like 1 cup per gallon or something? I know the second part is the baking soda, is that armor & hammer stuff from the store ok? How do I mix that stuff? I guess it can help if anybody can tell me how much to add to my tank. Is there like a rule of 10ml per every so and so??? Any suggestions can really help. Thanks

Make sure you buy sodium bicarbonate and not baking powder wich will raise you phosphates.
