I went fishing this weekend and caught a piece of this..

I cant find too much info about these. I'm assuming the care is similar to the sun coral?

Anyone have any more info about this type of coral? I don't want to let it die.

The reason I ask is because if they come from cold water you may end up having problems feeding due to their metabolism. It will speed up in warmer water and they will end up wasting away.

I live in northern california and had a similar thought about the snails, and beautiful urchins found when tidepooling, but when i found out this info it was clear i couldnt keep them

either way, good luck!

The water was 75F that day. We were fishing about 5 miles off the coast of NJ in about 50ft of water. I was extremely surpised what I found.

I put it in a shady spot in the tank and let them fully expand. I fed them some frozen brine and they quickly sucked them up into their transparent bodies. Kinda cool. They seem very active and reacted pretty quickly to the food.
