I bought a tomato clown fish today about 1.5 inches in length and I had a sixline wrasse 1.5 inches long and a azure damselfish 1 inche in length. As soon as i put the clown in the tank the 2 fish were fighting. Now the clown after 1hr of running away is in a corner of the tank just about the sand. What should i do???

get a breeding net..or a floating plastic container clear is better
put the damsel into it or the six line?...cant tell.... who ever is fighting with the clown.

this will seperate them, give the clown a chance to get used to his surroundings.

they can check each other out...without hurting each other

Clowns are damsels...and damsels are aggressive little fish.

moving the rock around in the tank might also help....

if none of this works...pick one to take back to the store

Is it the damsel harassing the clown? Damsels are notoriously territorial, fearless and bully-ish, even picking on fish much larger than them

Hopefully the clown can find a spot that the damsel does not feel is its territory and things will settle down, but in a 26 gallon the damsel probably feels the whole tank is its territory.

perhaps adding some PVC pipe temporarily for hiding will help while your fish settle out their territory disputes, and just hope the damsel accepts his new tank mate.

its the six line wrasse mostly....the damsel just raises his spikes up and gets really close to the clown and thats it.
