When I first looked at your pic, I thought you were asking about the corallomorph (green), then I saw the anemone. It almost looks like H. magnifica. Could you get a closer pic of the anemone including the column?

Could be a h. crispa, a bubble tip, or a mag..as Gary said a closer picture of the foot would help.

my buddy at petco said he had to sell it as a sebae but he was pretty sure it was a h. magnifica so i got it for 15 bucks. Normally wouldn't buy from petco but that was good price and it would of died for sure there.

Looks like a mag.. you should upgrade to metal halide if you want it to thrive.

Yeah, 15 dollars is good for either an H. magnifica or H. crispa. What type of lighting do you have? What are your water parameters. Ritteries like to be on a large piece of liverock located where they get good water movement and bright light. They will do fine right under, as withing a few inches of the bulbs of PC, or preferably under T-5 or MH.

i have under tx5 aquactinics t5's 3 ATI aqua blues(12k), 2 blue plus actinic, these t5's are bright with good individual reflectors, all my ricordea shrunk down from lights being to bright had to hide them under over hangs. Water has been great ph 8.0, salinity 1.025, haven't checked phosphate yet since i just got done fighting bubble algae outbreak with some hair algae. Skimmer went nuts from something spawning and salinity got down low for week due to overskimming and didn't catch it in time and that caused algae outbreak. Everything coming back great now. Tank has medium flow except for H. magnifica got powerhead aimed down on it since it is really happy with high flow.

All that sounds good. With that fixture you should be fine. From what I understand, both aqua blues and blue plus bulbs yield very high PAR. Your mag might wander from its place there on the glass, but then again it might not. Do be mindful of powerhead intakes, as it can be disastrous if a H. mag gets sucked into one. I would be more concerned about nitrate than phosphate myself. 1.025 is okay, I like the sg to be closer to 1.026 or 1.027. I think 35ppt is ideal (slightly over 1.026). If you do decide to go slightly higher with the sg, do it slowly or a day or two. I also try to keep my tank in the 79-82 temp range.
