Monti cap for sure judging by the nubs of new growth.

I cannot be Montipora capricornis because M. capricornis does not have tuberculae or papillae (nubs).

M. nodosa is closer but also not so, because the papillae (nubs) on M. nodosa would be fused together surrounding each corallite.

From the the size of the coral it will be impossible to tell for sure without any other info about where it came from. Do you know how it grows, plates, encrust, branching?

There could be more options, i just chose these off the top of my head because the only things we know for now is that it is a Montipora and has papillae.

Do you have any history on this frag? Do you know how it will develop, colony structure wise?

Another guess of mine would be M. tuberculosa.

No sir, I got it at a frag farm swap a few months ago. Seems to be doing good this is an older pic. Very bright and polyps are tucked down at the base. I will get a new shot soon.
