Looking for some insight on using either NP pellets or jsut sticking to GFO..
My tank has low measurable phosphates and nitrates and im looking into purchasing 2 150 reactors, one for carbon and one for one of the options above. However im hesitant on using the NP pellets because ive read some "iffy" reviews on them.
Not sure if i want an ultra low nutrient system because i dont really feed my corals alot. I have a mostly softie/filter feeder tank and the only thing (besides the odd mysis they catch i feed my fish) i add to my tank is phyto.
I realize that GFO will do nothing for nitrates but they arent a a big problem and my water changes should handle it over time.
Anyways can you guys please shed some light and post which one you would choose and why. Also any additional info on using NP would be appreciated. Looking at making my purchases today to prompt responses would be fantastic.
Tried searching the board and internet but GFO vs NP pellets threads are very hard to find.
Thanks for the help
