Okay, maybe not exactly a world tour, but a tour of several of the slightly farther away, but very nice stores in the area. I would like to lead a tour of Fishey Business in Bowling Green (huge cylinder tank that spins and a fish breeding setup), Creative Aquatics in Owensboro (excellent corals at excellent prices, the largest independent Ocean Nutrition dealer east of the Mississippi, and often GREAT deals on used equipment), and Waters of the World in Evansville (reportedly an incredibly clean store with excellent coral selection and clean healthy fish).
I've been doing the plotting and discovered something sort of bizarre. Given the spread of these stores, I considered visiting only two of them, but the driving distances to visit all three stores versus only two are less than 30 miles difference and 30 minutes difference according to Google Maps. So, why not visit all three!? It looks to be approximately 283 miles to visit Fishey Business, then Creative Aquatics and finally Waters of the World. That's approximately 5 hours driving time total. I'm willing to do this, but I understand those with family/children might not be, so if you wold be interested in visiting only 2 stores, or are considered about purchases making the trip, please say so and we can collectively decide what to cut, if so desired.
I'm also flexible for the date to do this, but I'd like to propose the 2nd of May. If other dates work better, speak up. I also plan on letting the Middle Tennessee Club now about this and letting them join. Once a date is decided, I will contact the stores we are visiting and let them know how many are planning to come, as well as see if we can perhaps secure a discount.
I will gladly drive 2-3 other people (depending on if Karen goes as well) and will be willing to provide at least one fish box and heat packs if needed.
