Nudibranch or sea hare?

I found this on my new clam and removed it. I believe that when I did it "inked"

Any help identifying if this can be in my tank would help. I have zoas, lps, maxima clam, and a new sps.

I appreciate all your input!

I'm really hoping it's not a zoa eater. It doesn't look like a nudibranch. No ideas anyone?

I had an issue with nudibranch infestation with my tank in the past and I think you r safe. It doesn't look like it to me.

It has 4 tentacles. Does that make any difference?

Nice! They don't have terribly long life spans, and don't grow a lot larger than that, so enjoy it before it disappears.

Don

A new picture. He's always out and eating. I think he ate so much his body burst. There's a split in his flesh around where a shell would be.

His untimely demise was at the hands of a powerhead. Found him stuck to the grating in the night while investigating what I thought was pistol shrimp activity.

That's unfortunate, but at least you got to see most of his life cycle. They usually just show up once in a tank and then disappear, never to be seen again.
