Nudibranchs Breeding

I'm not sure if this is the right area or not so please feel free to move it if necessary.

I found a hitch-hiking nudibranch in some seagrass I put in my seahorse tank, the next day I found a second smaller one. Lately there have been tubelike masses attached to the seagrass they are in. They appear to eat the seagrass and bother nothing else.

The best identification I have been able to get to this point ( I have no pictures, my camera wont do macro shots) is that they are Flabellina verrucosa. They are green, 1/2 - 3/4 " long, and have what look like hundreds of leaves running down their backs. The tubes do appear to match the images of nudibranch eggs I was able to find online.

So, my questions are, does anyone have a better ID without an image to look at ? Does anyone have any suggestions for raising the larvae ? Or any other information you think I could use.

Thanks. Joe

Well if they're green and you found them living on seagrass they probably aren't nudibranchs. If they're eating the seagrass, they're definitely not nudibranchs since there are no herbivorous nudis. It sounds like you have sacoglossans. Without a picture though, there's pretty much no way to identify slugs. Even with a picture it can be hard. Your best bet is to just go through www.seaslugforum.net and see what you can find.

Without an ID there's no way to give larviculture hints. Depending on what you have, the answer could be to just leave them alone or that it's virtually impossible.
