I'm not sure if this is the right area or not so please feel free to move it if necessary.
I found a hitch-hiking nudibranch in some seagrass I put in my seahorse tank, the next day I found a second smaller one. Lately there have been tubelike masses attached to the seagrass they are in. They appear to eat the seagrass and bother nothing else.
The best identification I have been able to get to this point ( I have no pictures, my camera wont do macro shots) is that they are Flabellina verrucosa. They are green, 1/2 - 3/4 " long, and have what look like hundreds of leaves running down their backs. The tubes do appear to match the images of nudibranch eggs I was able to find online.
So, my questions are, does anyone have a better ID without an image to look at ? Does anyone have any suggestions for raising the larvae ? Or any other information you think I could use.
Thanks. Joe
