Nutrients for Soft Corals and Mushroom

What kind of nutrients should i feed soft corals and mushrooms? I'm new to anything reef related but i have had a FOWLR tank since last year.

Feed the some frozen cyclopeeze or enriched piscine energetics mysis shrimp once every 2 weeks or month. I experience faster growth rates when i do feed mushrooms.

Mushrooms and many soft corals feed by absorption of nutrients from the water column. You can't feed them directly.

However, if you have soft corals with polyps, some of those need size appropriate food -- but not all. Sarcophyon, for example, has polyps but doesn't use them to feed.

In a nutshell, glauuds answer was correct -- fish poop! With soft corals, a higher bioload than a stoney coral tank, some dissolved organics and a low level of nitrates will make them happy.

Thanks for all the info. How fast do mushrooms multiply?
I think you may have the same mushrooms I have (if they are the ones from supernareg).
Fast multipliers under the right nutrient conditions. Be careful, they can take over your tank!!
