O. scyllarus questions

I just got an O. scyllarus today.
He's (not sure of sex yet) 4-5" long.
Approximately how old would a specimen be to reach this size?
Also, how much longer can I expect him to live?

im not quite sure if they live as long as L. mac's but if they do i know that they can live upwards of 15 years, i would have to say that at 4-5" long the mantis is still young comparable to a human in the 20's or 30's

Ok.
According to Dr. Roy their max size is 18cm/7.08 inches.
So I guess he will grow slowly between molts then?

dr roy stated how often in the molting thread he said once they hit about 4-5" they will only molt once a month if not longer then that, at that point they are going to grow maybe a centimeter at the most

They will molt a LOT less frequently than once a month at this size -- a few times a year at most, if I recall correctly.
