I’m in the beginning stages of upgrading my 40 gal. tank to an 85 with a sump (and maybe a fuge) and have a few questions regarding my current livestock & their compatibility.
My first fish was a tank raised Occy Clown, I now have two and my next fish was a Golden Midas Blenny. After doing a bit of research I determined that I would be able to house these fish in the same tank. However, the midas blenny constantly attacks the clowns and chews up their fins.
Here’s where this pertains to my upgrade… If I purchased lighting intense enough to support an anemone and the clowns took to it would the midas blenny leave them alone? I know that the clowns may not even host with the anemone… Or should I keep the clowns in a separate tank or just get rid of the blenny? I really like the blenny so I don’t want to just give it up.
Thanks for any opinions or suggestions. -Steve
