Ocean Pro Aquatics hours?

i'd call and make sure they have a shipment in first. When i was starting my tank, I got lucky and scored some +35lb show pieces of marshall island, so sexy.....mhm. anywho, call :rollface:
 
They just RAISED there price on the sumps from last week to $50.00 MORE. I wouldn't buy anything from those guys ever. I call to ask Mike the owner, he said NO. I was just there to buy one.
I'll buy on-line or from another reefer. Forget those guys.

There prices are based on availabilty, if they are sold out or have only one ot two the prices go up. That it what one of the workers there told me..
 
What kind of POOR business practice is that??? Even more of a reason NOT to BUY from them.

I ordered 15 pounds of Ultra Fiji Premium last Wednesday from these guys. My CC was charged, but I have not received a confirmation or anything else for that matter. I sent them an e-mail on Monday, and haven't got a response yet. this was the first order I've placed with them, and so far it's looking like it will the the last. If I don't get some kind of response by noon, I am going to cancel the order. 1 week is more than enough time to get back to a customer imo.
 
I personally have never done business with them, but I have heard other complaints about their slow response time to customers. I haven't heard any complaints about the quality of their product. I know they have had some staffing issues and growing pains -- I can sympathize with their situation, but that doesn't mean I would necessarily put up with the reduction in service.

As for prices going up, well, prices go up. Remember when Jeff's had the 2/$25 MaxiJets and the 9/$99 corals? They just can't do it anymore because they lose too much money. Right now gas prices are affecting everything from transporation to manufacturing costs. Pricing by availability is, for better or worse, a fundamental tenent of capitalism. You can choose to pay the higher price or not.

As long as a business is not price gouging or baiting and switching the customer, I don't see how that is cause for serious complaint. Normal griping about what you used to pay for stuff is, well, normal. ;) I sure do miss that 2-fer MaxiJet special.
 
i've only had great experiences with them. however, i have never had them ship anything b/c i figure that it's probably cheaper just to go there and pick it up. just my 2 cents
 
if you dont like waiting, just go down there and pick up the rock yourself, you can cherry pick while you're at it. and you get it the same day :rollface: whats a 45min drive really... better than waiting a week.
