hey everyone i have a 58 gallon oceanic setup including custom stand and canopy for sale. it is the version that doesnt have a center brace. 5/8" heavy glass. it includes a 3 month old octopus h.o.b skimmer, blueline 250 watt ballast/radium bulb (9 months old. getting close to replacement), a koralia evo 4, koralia nano, generic heater, wet dry sump (no bioballs), return pump, and various extras.
reason for selling: over the past month i notice in the right front upper corner there is some salt creep. i wipe it and in a few weeks it returns. im not sure if its a leak in the silicone or just creep from the water being aggitated by the pumps. next weekend we are installing laminate flooring and have to break the tank down to move it. my wife and i discussed it and as much as we like it, we dont want to risk a leak on new floors. the asking price reflects the risk of it being a leak and needing some silicone. if its not a leak someone will score a sweet deal. we need to sell by this next weekend. we both drive little honda's so you will need to supply a truck, buckets, coolers, whatever you want to move it. there are a few scratches on the viewing panes but nothing horrendous.
now that i wrote a paragraph on the negatives i will say its a nice tank for a good price. the stand is real wood, not particle board. also comes with about 70lb of rock (marcorocks + about 10 lb of real live rock) 4 or 5 healthy corals (nice sized gsp/ light blue zoanthids, neon green toadstool, orange ricordea) as well as sand and some odds and ends. also comes with 2 healthy clarkii clownfish and various snails. the tank is setup, has been maintained all along, and i welcome you to come see it. i am in cordova off of houston levee.
asking price $250 or reasonably close offer! not looking to part out. once again, i think the price reflects that im looking for a quick/complete sale. even if you just want the equipment you'll score a deal. thanks!
the salt creep in question. this is 3 weeks worth. about the size of a quarter.
