Oceans Motions users?

Looking at using an Oceans Motions device on my new tank on a closed loop.

I haven't found much negative in the forums, wondering if anybody local is using one? If so, how long and how's it working out?

I've got a 4 way. I turned it back on too soon after adding sand to the tank. Some of the sand has caused it to bind. I'm taking it apart tonight to clean it out. I'll let you know how it works afterward.

Here's the link to my tank setup:

I have the older style 4-way, 2" in & 1-1/2" outs with the driveshaft. It' on a 120 with an ampmaster 3000. I set it up end of august 2005 and so far, I haven't had any problems. I bought version 1-2-3 drums. I am currently running the version 2 drum. Mounting the unit above the tank water line makes switching drums much easier. My only complaint is that the port switching speed is fixed. The ports switch every 15 seconds. I would rather see them switch every 5 minutes or so.

CHAD! look, another one of you ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Deltec everything!!!

i am not the only one

its funny that you feel that way

Smart! I wish I had mounted mine higher than the tank. My values are on the intake on the back of the tank and on the return just before the pump.

I may add a value to drain the lines at the bottom, just below the OM. The base unit would be difficult to break so there's no need that I see to ever have to replace it. I can get to the insides and clean the drum off once the lines are drained.
