October 10th BAR meeting and IC-DBTC

Just a little heads up for youse guys, our October 10th meeting featuring Paul Whitby discussing aquascaping using common rules such as the golden triangle and the rule of thirds to make your tank aesthetically pleasing (I'm super excited BTW) will be featuring a don't break the chain interclub table for clubs like R.A.R.E.

WTH does that mean? Free corals! We're inundated with coral here and want to spread the wealth. All you need to do is have someone show up that is registered poster on the BAR forum or simply register on the forum so we have a means to track the frag if necessary in the future, that's it. You can distribute the frag to fellow R.A.R.E. members to grow out and disseminate in the BAR DBTC spirit.

It's a win, win situation, come see a high profile reefer share some secrets and get some corals to grow out.


I'm horrible with names, but I haven't forgotten the request for a frag of my Acro. austera from the nice woman from you club that attended our last swap. Speak up so you can claim your coral.

That would be Karin. She just upgraded to a 135g RR tank. Unfortunatly she does not have internet access, but I will pass this along to her.

Thanks a lot BBishop, it was my understanding that she was going to be coming down for the talk and to pickup some corals for your group to grow out and pass around.

Karen, Duane and I were planning on coming down until I ended up having to work.. My co-worker has an opening week lobster dive he does every year and we were unable to get coverage for his shifts. If I can get coverage (we are still looking) hopefully it will still happen.
