October Meeting...

cuncator, I'd Love the zoanthid frags. Any help is appreciated!

I got the sand cleaned and ready to make the swap so bring some for the mix. I would not have guessed it would take all day to clean 100lbs of sand.

i might be interested in the one of the parrot fish. don't have anything to trade though but i can slide you some cash. think it would be okay in a 75 gal for a while? and how aggressive are they?

Well folks, got some bad news... I won't be able to make it afterall. :(

I have been scheduled for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy on Monday (10/30/06). Unfortunately, due to the preparation procedures (you really don't want to know  ) required to start two days in advance, I won't be able to do any traveling.

WOOHOO!!! Can't think of a better way to spend my weekend off (too bad a sarcastic tone of voice doesn't translate into the typed word very well). :mad2:

Greg, the frags I promised to bring are still yours, I'll just have to get with you later on a convenient time so we can meet.

Hope everybody has a good time... somebody take some pics, please. :)

Maybe next month... ... ...

Larry

Sorry to hear about the bad news.....it sounds like a pain in the A$$ ( I couldnt help it :) )

Thanks for the frag any time you are going to be up here give me a pm and we could meet.

Then there is always next month.

Yeah, my hemoglobin count on my last blood tests was 11.5, two points below the minimum of 13.5. So, the doc figured I might have some GI bleeding/seepage that could be the cause.

Though there is no history of cancer in my family, he also wants to rule that in/out. It was almost comical the way the doc danced around the word 'cancer'... I guess he's too used to having patients that freak when they hear it. I figure if it's positive, we'll (me & doc) work with it and there's no use in panicking... yet.

There is a bright side though, my cholesterol was way down and my A1C was good. :D

Darkstar, I will bring the smaller parrotfish, he is fine, not aggressive, unless you have another similar parrotfish. Henry, please do bring me a zoa frag, thanks. Larry, make sure they do the endo first! Just kidding! I know they use a different camera, dont they? I am getting my pyshical next week, its been 3 years, I kept putting it off, or just forgot about it. I am 51 now, so I figured I better get in and get all checked up. Do we need to bring anything besides some sand and inverts, and a parrotfish? Still at noon right? See you at the meeting, Steve and Lynn.

Greg, we may make it, a front might move in and ruin our dive trip. Hows the parrot fish and gorgonian? Is he cleaning the algae off the rocks?

Steve,

That fish ate $5 worth of snails and hermits befor I could get them out. He hasnt touched the ghost shrimp (hum) and rips chunks of the rock like its nothing, he eats all the time. Cool fish but I dont think I would put him in a reef.

The gorg isnt doing to well Im now sure what is up with it.

Im lookiing forward to having everyone over, it will be a good time. Ill see you all at noon tomorow.

Greg, when your new tank/tanks is/are balanced and running well, we'll have to get some gorgonians and zoas and stuff for it/them. I dont know what happened to the gorgonian, I had it under NO flourescents for a few months and under MHs and VHO for the last few months and it was fine and plump and waving its polyps all the time. The rind looked a little thin, maybe the lights in the little tank were too weak for it. Give me a call Tuesday when you get back. I'll have the HOT filter all cleaned and ready for you. Steve.

Thanks for having us Greg. Give a call when you are up our way. Also Meghan says the Dip was great :)

Thanks again

Meghan & Mike
