octopuses and corals

if you want to keep an octopus you would need a VERY tight lid and you couldnt keep any other fish in the tank(at least not for long)

I don't see why you couldn't. an octopus will need to be feed regularly. so you'r filtration will need to be top notch and forget fish, snails, crabs, clams or anything else. you would have a tank with, corals and an octopus. I would research very hard to make sure that the octopus is of a sp. that will stay small.they are very cool and interesting creatures, but if I were you I wouldn't do it:)

Ofcourse Octos eat fish lmao. I had one and fed it goldfish and mollies. They are very shortlived in captivity though.

Well I cannot speak for captivity but in the wild they prey on shelled animals, crabs, snails, lobsters, clams mainly bivalves. I have never seen an octopuss eat a fish....but I suppose if they are in a tank with nothing else to eat BUT fish. He will not starve. In the wild however they do not prey on fish.
