I have had this @ 3mths, IT is a "killer" skimmer.. (I even got a the octo 800 because it has sme pump and i like to play with skimmers)
Now I have ordered a Hurricone!
If I remember right, a few people here, were wanting to buy the 200 but they are on back order ( they are selling like hotcakes) . I will be selling mine ASAP when the new skimmer arrives.. Mine will have the new Purple pin/w ( i field tested it for them) , also the MSX pin/w and astock pin/w.. I will throw in a meshwheel also! $350 you pick up..
 
OK, you do not know me,, but Take it from your friends here,, I do know what I am talking about when it comes to skimmers.. 9 skimmer nut)
Skimmer ratings are MOSTLY BS! most companies inflated them 3-4x what is really true!

I think its rated 225 .. Check it out! www.reefspecilty.com..
This is the most true Rating I HAVE ever seen a company give!
It keeps my 120g , total volume of water, crystal clear! Most (70% ) of the time this thing is sitting at idle,, just waiting for something to be fed into tank for removal! Sicce pumps draw @ 20w, so its very cost efficent! most skimmer per buck, the octx200 can not be beat..
I get air draws better than deltec ( my fav skimmer)

Hope I don't come across to Hard, I am here, to offer this skimmer.. It sells itself.. because people are finding out! ( reason for back orders!)
 
Hey Dave,
Charlie knows what he is talking about when it comes to skimmers and he is a top guy. I would take them in a heart beat if I was in the market for a skimmer.

Charlie, sorry for the questions. I am still new at this. I recently bought a used 120 gal setup. It did not come with a skimmer so I have been doing some research trying to figure out what skimmer would be best. So far I am really impressed with the Deltec AP-600 and the Reef Octopus Pro 300.
Is the skimmer you are selling thr Reef Octopus extreme 200? Again, sorry for questions.

this skimmer will kick a AP-600 around the block.. Deltec will be quieter.. The octo pro , as i understand it.. has no support, backing.. something to do with -- the Canadian builder going bankrupt..?? ( looks like a good skimmer)
Price on octx 200 is now $320.. I sold some items...

I have this on 120g system now.. it will handle more! 180-200?

I am trying to look up the exact skimmer you have on line so I can get the foot print dims, etc for planning purposes. Is this the reef octopus extreme 200? If so great, I found it on Aquacave and can get specs there.
If it is a different skimmer please let me know more info. Again, sorry for being confused but there are a pile of different skimmers out there!
