Tank was growing lots of color. First the zoas shriveled away, location seemed irrelevant a few remain unaffected. Healthy mushrooms reseeding again not all. There is this SPS that is in two locations taking a beating the coral in close proximity fine. The numbers are OK except No3 >40. Bare bottom Im tumbling bio media with no change. If its that need advice. Thanks

The information you are giving really cannot help anyone give you guidance and pictures won't hurt.

Give us the parameters which you can test.
What brand do you use and when do the test kits expire?
Are you doing water changes?
Bio load, fish, corals, inverts?
Feeding pellets, frozen, etc?
You see where I'm going...just more info! :)

OH...AND WHAT CHANGE DID YOU MAKE PRIOR TO THINGS GOING AWRY?

He’s not wrong. We can’t give good advice without more information. I think you’ll find that on any forum. We don’t really even have a timeline of how quickly this is occurring. I could sit here and say it’s likely the nitrates but then another person can run high nitrates and keep mushrooms just fine. I could also say it’s the fact you’re running a bare bottom. Did you change your flow, upgrade your lights, did a kid drop a penny in your tank and it’s leaching copper? I’m not trying to be smart, just saying there’s currently endless possibilities without more info.

Wow these forums haven't changed.
Yeah...that's why I put a smiley face out there. Strange reaction.

What they said. For instance, if you're "tumbling biomedia" you might have stripped out all the phosphate your amimals need to utilize nitrogen. But you haven't given any other number but for nitrates so it's impossible to determine if that's actually the problem.
