odd growth on frogspawn

hi, my frogspawn recently has been growing an odd bump on its skeleton. Its almost clear, but somewhat white. Its starting to grow into the fleshy part of the coral. Is this a new branch starting to grow? or is this something more serious i should worry about?

looks like a sponge. Although they are harmless, it might bother your frogspawn.
