i pretty much messed around with the tank today and took everything apart in order to finally install doors on the cabinet and canopy.

well long story short when everything was put back together i noticed the cooling fan on my 30" MH/PC Odyssea fixture didnt turn on.

id like to replace it but id prefer to look for prices and brands before taking the thing apart.

anyone know what size and how many pins the fans are?
id like to replace the one fan...with maybe 2 of the same size

( the cooler the better)...

hope someone can help :)

I replaced one in a 24" Odyssea fixture once before. I used a regular sized PC cooling fan. The new fan had a 3 pin connector on it but the fixture connector only had 2 pins. I found the positive and negative leads on the new fan connector and slide the fixture connector onto them... worked great. Then I tie-wrapped the fan into place and put the end cover back on. Never had any more issues or noise out of it.

Since I have 3 vent holes do you think I canmaybe piggyback 2 fans and pot the other outside or inside and make it suck air?

listened to your advice lol and almost set the house on fire.

computer fans are DC and the odyssea fans are AC.

few sparks and i got it to work with the appropriate stock radioshack AC fans
