Ok, I'm Starting To Look

I guess I'm going to start looking for a 120g
I'm looking for a 4' black double overflow- Glass

I can find that BUT my problem is:

I CAN'T FIND A STAND/CANOPY I LIKE.

I really like my stand now. I have the black composite stand with the smoked glass door on the 72 bow.

Any suggestions?

Black makes it very easy for me and I don't like the All-Glass or Oceanic

Thanks!

"DIY" you can make it just how you want it.

exactly!! I'm almost done building my stand and canopy. And I order my tank from www.glasscages.com the way I wanted it. I like the center over flows so you dont see the over flows on the sides. I'm not sure where you can get the Smoked glass but I'm sure there are a ton of places in St. Louis you could get it for the Stand.

here is the 75 Gallon Stand I made.

Here is a 150Gallon Stand I made Which is the same messurments as the 120, the tank is just taller.

Here is a 6' verson in progress. Still needs trim but I'm waiting on the tank to get here so I can make sure I'm hiding the black trim around the tank.

You can do it!!

Nice stands. However, I'm seriously not a DIY guy...I'd rather just pay someone to do it for me since it would probably cost me more after I figure in the mistakes as it would be to have someone build it for me.

Lonnie- Looking to make some extra cash? I'm in no hurry?

Another question is my T5 fixture uses the legs but it's annoying since they don't flip up...If I used the wooden canopy like you have in this picture, could I use my hanging brackets to just hang it to the lid of the canopy?

"Im Lon 2" Those stands look really great!!

If you are looking for local glass, try Kirkwood Glass. They do panes of all different glass. The Kitchen and Bath Company I work for gets all of our glass from them. The peices that go on Moulion Doors, are probably the same size you would use for tank stand.

I'm not sure how the bracket is made but I don't see why not. If anything you can find a way to chain it up. How long is the T5 fixture? Is it longer than 48" or is it less?

We just drilled shallow holes on the inside of the canopy and used small brass "pegs" and I raise the lower the canopy with those. Have about seven different settings. I think I have some very old pictures on the old site if you click on the little red house.

EDIT: Oops looks like the link is no longer working, we moved some servers around at work, I'll have to take a look at it tomorrow.

Roy...what about 7-20 gallons? That would be 140!!!

Actually, I'm thinking about a 6' tank also. If I did that I could cut down on how deep it is but I'd have to get new lights which is something I didn't want to do but if I'm going to do it, do it right. Just not sure I have the cash to do a 6' tank
