Old Live Rock

I have about 60 pounds of old dried live rock. It was used in a reef tank from 2000 to 2004 and then sat outside in the weather from 2004 till now.

I am upgrading to a 75 from my 28 and want to use some of this old rock to add to the rock that is in the 28.

Should I just soak in heated aerated saltwater for a few days, weeks or just rinse?

I think most will reply "it depends". If there was a lot of die off on it, then the trapped organics may fuel a bloom. If you were fighting algae in the last tank before tare down then you may have PO4 leaching issues. A conservative approach may include pressure washing, then soaking in RO water for a few days, change re-soak, test PO4 before after etc.
It would be alot easier to do this now then to not be careful and fight blooms latter...
