Last week I went to Nebraska to visit family. Not much to do there besides look at cows. So we headed over to Omaha to hit to zoo. Very nice zoo with some great enclosures. They did have an aquarium that I was excited to see of course. So I took some shots.

The shore/reef tank. It had a surge on the right corner. Not sure what the timer was though.

Surge area.

Tons of anemones in the surge area. It was a very nice tank. Had a "shore area" that had some mangroves growing.

Another small reef tank that had a bunch of clowns. It was slanted acrylic. Neat looking but seems it would be a pain to clean lol.

Entrance to the shark tube. Was a nice tank with rays, sharks and a few turtles. All fake corals though. Was a few divers in there making some aqua scape changes. May 19 month old was a bit confused on what type of fish they were.

Wave tank. had a surge come in every once and awhile. Some horseshoe crabs too.

Large cylinder tank. I forgot what fish were in it. The little kid watching though thought it was amazing.

Scorpion fish.

Too be continued.....

Upside down Jelly tank. I love these guys. Never seen blue ones. Only the brownish colored ones.

Some Mantis loving. Glad to see these on display. I love them. This one was a Odontodactylus scyllarus.

Another tank with a giant clam.

Shark and Grouper tank. Very large. I think I need on this size in my basement.

Large freshwater tank with piranha and such. Even had monkeys leaping in the trees.

There are more pics from the aquarium and other parts of the zoo on my website. I wish I had a better camera as most of the pictures I took did not come out. I guess I will have to go back at some point lol.

That was a cool place. My wife didn't like it much. She thought it was too dark and had problems seeing where she was going. I have perfect night vision, actually due to an eye injury lol. So I had not issues. Most of the pics I took didn't come out though. crappy point and shoot. The Lied Jungle was my favorite followed by the aquarium. The desert dome was ok but nothing that exciting.

Cool.

Mitch Carl of SECORE runs that and it looks like he did a good job.

Those are the first pics I've ever seen those tanks.....Thanks.

(This would be the same Mitch Carl who figured out that Praziquantel for fish also nukes Monti-eating nudi's).
