I have a the biggest obssession with Picasso clownfish now. Can u guys help me with what to look for, how much, the whole nine yards? Thanks :)

Divers Den on Liveaquaria often have ORA picassos. Nice ones too, I assume they are resonably priced.

Picasso's is a designer that has alot of options, Grade B's, Grade A's, google it and you will also get some info aswell, some people do not like the morphs but I do, with picasso's its a personal thing, like or dislike

As far as pricing is concerned expect to pay around $150 each for a grade A with a nice pattern. I purchased a couple from Doni's reef a few months back and it set me back $350 not including shipping but they sure are pretty!

Both sites mentioned above have "what you see is what you get"......When you get the from ORA you have to order then through a LFS most likely.

Grade A's will run $100-$150 per fish.
Grade B's will run $50-$75 per fish.
Here is my Grade A pair that a LFS here in San Diego ordered for me in February. The picture of then with the Malu Nem was in February, the one with them in the brain was about a month ago.

so i posted this in my other thread but i assume no one will see it so ima ask here aswell. do picasso pairs make picasso babies? i noe they all wont be picassos but i just want to noe how to make them lol

I believe they do make picasso babies. I'm not sure if there's a probability for it, but some will turn out Grade A, some B, and some will be normal. To distinguish, the white on the Grade A's extends from the tail stripe all the way to the dorsal stripe on both sides. Grade B's may not touch on one side. Doni's Reef is the only place I'd go to buy some. HTH.

I say Donis also as I got mine from her and have made many trips to her house. She has some nice fish and always posts videos so you can see the exact fish you will be buying. They will set you back a bit but worth it.

Here is the pair I got from her.

They can make Picassos of all grades. You do not know what you can get.....

The WYSIWYG Video selection she has for each lil fish or pair is really helpful. I used to lurk her site a bunch back when i wanted some picassos.

Phyxius, your picassos look awesome! It makes me wish my grade b's didn't kick the can.

But i'm happy with my one little baby maroon.

Thanks we like them too. I know Doni on a personal level and have gone there MANY times and it took months for me to finally hand pick the 2 we wanted for our tank. My wife actually gave up her black egg laying pair of clowns to get these guys instead.

Donis reef is a great place. Recently a new SW store in AZ opened... Reef Culture. They have some AMAZING picassos, platinums, and jigsaw looking occies. Here is my famous girl... this photo has been used all over (without my premission lol, oh well)
Ive had her for about 4 years now and she grew up in my 20g ADA, now at home in my 110 starphire tank with her new man. She actually was so aggressive she chashed 2 male picassos out of the tank. Was devistating. She now has a little shamu looking black occ. for a mate and does pretty good with him. He is IN LOVE with her but she plays hard to get. She is such a brat.
