OMG haha i love those little guys too! If only I had the time and resources to devote to building a tank just for one of those I would.. and still might someday but just not there yet!

OH wow I didn't know you kept one.. I am a dork and rarely look at signatures now I am reading your fish list... Looksl ike the kind of livestock list I would want to keep in my 125g.. just a tang and a few smaller fish.. wonder if I could get away with a cowfish?
How is the flow in your tank, does he have trouble competing for food or swimming around (if he's turning one i assume not! but its been a real concern for others who would want to try keeping one)
Oh also what kind of corals, if any do you keep him wiht? looks like some SPS in the background there, does he pick at them or more at stuff like shrimps and crabs?

My sailfin is not reef safe likes to eat brain corals. The cowfish is in a mixed reef with sps, clams, lps, etc. it doen't bother anything, the key is to get the cowfish first, once is settled he should be fine. Mine went in with 3 clowns first, I even do hypo with all 4 in a 20 about a year ago. Great fish, great personality and sometimes blows water out of the tank, it's hungry all the time, they adjust to flow with no problem, I have 2 koralias 4s (1200), 2 MJs 1200, 1 MJ 1200 modded. Yeah I don't like crowded tanks either. I mean, if you have a bunch of little guys even then it doesnt seem crowded because theyd ont take up a lot of space.
When my 125g is up and running I'd like to have one of the smaller tangs - i like the way the kohls look with that yellow eye or maybe a purple one.. Haven't decided yet... a pair of clowns, a blenny of some kind.. and if i could a cowfish would just be amazing. i've always wanted one and I am surprised to hear he's a model citizen.
I guess the trick is to just get him early and get him hooked on good food first so he isnt tempted to nip at anything.
