One more fish to add

I have a 45 gallon oceanic tech reef tank that has been up and running for about 4 months now. I have a pair of occelarus clowns the female is about 2.5 inches and is the largest fish in the tank. A small royal gramma, red banded high fin goby that I hardly see, skunk cleaner shrimp, and a candy cane pistol shrimp with assorted coral frags. I would like to add one more non aggressive reef safe fish that will not break the bank but unsure of which one. I was thinking maybe an fire fish or add pair but unsure. Any help would be awesome!

I would get a flasher wrasse, take a look at the McCosker's wrasse and also look at the Golden Midas Blenny. You can even get both. Both are great fish very active, peaceful and will eat anything. Both have wonderful personalities. My Midas Blenny is the tank favorite with my McCosker's wrasse right behind it. I currently have 7 fish in my 40b and think you can get more if you wish. Here is my fish list.

Cherub Angel
Pair Mocha Ocellaris Clowns
Golden Midas Blenny
McCosker's wrasse
Royal Gramma
Yellow Candy Hog Fish just added this past Tuesday.

There are many great fish that you could add, might want to go to Live Aquaria or BlueZoo's websites and look at all of the different fish to get an idea.

I tried a flasher wrasse and it was to aggressive with my clowns. It seems I just need really non aggressive fish for the tank. Any other thoughts?

If you want a fish that is the definition of peaceful (besides a fire fish) look into possum wrasses or pygmy filefish. Maybe not the prettiest colored fish, but they are awesome to watch swim around. Fire fish, although cooler looking, tend to hang out in one spot all the time.

And I definitely agree with Dk that you could add more than one fish.

That's strange the FW was aggressive towards your clowns. My McCosker's wrasse gets along with my Mocha Ocellaris pair just fine. I did just get a Yellow Candy Hog Fish on Tuesday and this is the first fish that my McCosker's wrasse has been aggressive towards. Things were better finally yesterday and the newcomer was finally able to relax a bit.

I feed my fish 3x per day, morning both NLS pellets and frozen Mysis. Noon ish I feed frozen Mysis and NLS pellets. At night I feed only Mysis or frozen mix. I broadcast feed my corals 2-3x a week with any of the following or a mix of them, Cyclops, Reef Chili, Reef Frenzy, Reef roids and Kent's Microvert. Then a few times a month for the corals I'll add in brine shrimp, Mysis and pellets and target feed.

Possum wrasse will be out & about once it settles in but don't be surprised if it takes a few months.

A single firefish is fine too. I tried a pair & after 3 months had to rehome one.
