one more fish?

I have a royal gramma, flame angel, a clown, and a bangai cardinal.
for about 6-7 months. The tank looks great! I really love the blue spotted jawfish and was wondering if it would be ok to add it or would that be over kill. I care more for the fish that are already in my tank, as well as the beautiful corals that i have. besides the jawfish any other suggestions, any fish that may swim well with the flame angel? my tank is the biocube 29 with a lot of live rock at least 45 lbs with 10 lbs in back with chemipure, carbon, protein skimmer.

I personally would leave it as is. I have a 33 cube and have a pair of SI Percs and a Potter's angel in there, and don't plan on adding anything else to it.

I agree that you are at you're max. With that much LR you probably only have 25g of water in the system. You should keep an eye on rising nitrates as that is usually a sign of overstocking. Maybe its time for an upgrade to a bigger tank.

thanks for the feedback, i was considering an upgrade but everything is going so well, so i don't want to disrupt anything. ! i care more for what i have then adding anything additional

Have you been testing your nitrates or noticed any nuisance algae lately? I'd base adding any more fish off of algae growth/increased nitrates compared to your current maintenance practices.

If you're not getting a lot of algae & your nitrates are staying low I don't see why you couldn't add another fish.

Do you have an area in your tank where the jawfish could make a cave? Like a flat rock that it can dig out a cave under.

Two fish I really liked in the past were a Springer's Dottyback & a Lawnmower Blenny. The blenny had a lot of personality & it was a riot to watch it swim around & headbutt the glass & rocks.

i really don't think it has to do with algae, i think it has to do with real estate. Yea i can fit 10 chicks in my truck but would we be very comfortable?

swimming room i think is pretty good in my tank, i have a lot of live rock but i have set it up in a manner wear fish can swim in , around and through, i love the blue spotted jawfish but don't know if it is the best fish to get or would ruin the chemistry of my tank bout the water chemistry and the behavior of the fish. i trust todds opoinion, will see if temptation can be held down by my realism

I think another fish would be pushing it...but if you can't resist, the safest bet would be to get a very small clown to pair with your current one. Having a mated pair is really neat to watch, and a male will stay small and not add much to the bioload.
