I moved tanks sunday. In one tank I had 2 RBTAs, they were transported and put in the new tank at the same time and looked great several hours after the acclimation period. Next day I get up and one is gone. The other has not moved...now this is a pretty small tank, 20gal long. I have not seen it since sunday. Looked under, behind, between EVERY PART OF THE TANK. With flashlights too. No odd smells coming from it.......very odd. Last time he ate was sat, and last light he got was sunday......when is it time to rip the tank apart looking for it.:(

Id check inside your filtration and powerheads for signs of hime getting sucked up but from what ive heard the are wanderers. Ive never had one though so maybe a pro will chime in for ya. ANy chance it was like a cat that missed its home and has decided to go back to your old place after the move........ Everyone be on the lookout for a RBTA cruising down the side of the road from christmas to orlando........ MFP you better make up some posters and post them on all the power poles in the neighborhood:)

funny stuff... RBTA's can wander, especially after they've been indroduced into a new tank. Mine even split shortly after a new tank move.

Years ago after adding a RTA, it split in half and then the daughter wandered up the side of the glass and into the input of a waiting maxijet... not real pretty. And this all happened while I was away on a buisness trip... go figure.

RTA's can also deflate themselves doing massive water changes to themselves. When this happens they shrink and become super teeny tiny and look almost like they are shrinking away to nothing. Your anemone may be doing just that and that may be why you can't see it.

Be patient, it'll surface, one way or another...

it could be retreating from the change in light. mine did that for a week and now it is out and beautiful

Very well stated

the filtration that I have could not have sucked him up with out leaving some sort of sign....so I will just keep my eyes out. I have had a cat disappear for a day before and was sure she got out. She came wandering out of a storage room looking like she had been sleeping the entire time and wandered out with a look like "hey, what did I miss"

still missing....worried it has gone off to a corner to die or something :( Nothing fowl in the tank. My other in the other tank is looking pretty shriveled too. The third out of the group is looking just fine and eating like a pig.

BTW, I joined the club this week, my purple corkscrew is mia. Was looking the best he ever has the other night, in the morning was mia.

Argh.
