One of those days, you know how that goes... Let me explaine.. I left work at lunch time to come home to pick something up I forgot to take to work. So while I was in my basement, I could hear my skimmer splashing more then normal.. I investigate, and for some reason its not producing alot of bubbles as normal, so after trying this and that I decided it must need to be cleaned. Well I got 5 minutes.. lol. So I proceed to take the pump out of the sump and drain it (some in the sump some on the floor) and had a darn time getting the venturi off, had to get my adjustable wrench. Finally get that off, and take the cap off and pull the needle wheel out. sure enough everything is pretty crudy. So I cary the impeller and such over to the sink. I place the impeller on the corner of the sink without realizing the magnet part stuck to the handle of the thin brush I was going to use to clean the pump... well needless to say, when I picked up the brush, along came the impeller... sorta.. it stuck long enough to get over the edge of the sink falling to the floor. when I looked down, I saw about 6 pieces of the PLASTIC shaft on the floor. PLASTIC for crying out loud. Luckly, I mod these maxijets and had some carbon fiber rod laying around. Also lucky was the fact that it was the correct width and fit in pretty nicely. Made it back to work, but what a mess I made. Grrr.
