Open brain and candy canes

I recently bought a red open brain and a blue/green candy cane coral. I was told to watch for them to open up for feedings after the lights go out for the night but niether seem to want to open up. They both puff up beautifully during the daylight hours but they dont seem to want to eat. Anyway to get these 2 to open up for feeding?

light to moderate flow (depending when my powerhead cycles)

If you can find a way to keep your fish or shrimp from stealing the food, (maybe the top of a coke bottle?) just turn off the power heads and place a small piece of shrimp or perhaps a few NLS pellets on top of the coral. Given time, it will try to eat the food. GL.

Yeah what cloak said. Some need a little coaxing to get them to eat.
