opinions needed please

Building an in wall tank. Planning on it being L shaped. The two walls i will be useing i have 10 feet length one way and 8 feet the other way. I'm trying to get it as close to 500g as possible. What diminsions would you suggest going with?

24" front to back depth and 25" height will give you roughly 480gal. Tinker with the numbers a little to get exactly what you want

I would go on the 10' side 30" wide and 24" wide on the short side and keep it all 25" deep that would keep it around 560 but if you don't mind a little extra water 30" wide on both is only 603

I think we decided to go with the 603g. where would be the best place to get live rock?

I have brought 2 tons from here and the best rock is great and the base ball is nice for fraging. At under $1 a pound u cant beet it as nobody can tell which rock i have was live and what was Hirocks and now it is all alive and full of coaline.

how long does it take for the base rock to become live rock i heard 8 months to a 1 year. i really like the 1 ton option will this be enough or should i go with 1200.
