opinions on bulbs

I know i am going to a 24w ati purple plus and a 24w blue plus

but i need to replace my metal halide also.

should i go with the phoenix 14k

or should i go with the ushio 20k

I like the blueish look that makes my corals pop but i don't want it washed out with blue.

Any opinions on which one will give off the blue but not to blue?

I'd go with the 14k bulb, I have the same ATI combo and belive it's border line too much blue as is. My sand looks unnatural but the corals and nems look great.

I haven't seen a ushio bulb personally on any tanks. I have seen the phoenix on electronic ballasts and has a nice blue color. Both these bulbs are hqi spec and were made for a m80 ballast which will change the color over a electric ballast. The phoenix I don't think needs supplament lighting for my taste.

ok thanks for the response i was leaning towards the 14K. because i have only heard good things about the phoenix.
