Opinions on O. scyllarus tank

I have been going over this in my head for some time and I'm wondering what your opinions are. In late June I'll be setting up tank with only an O. scyllarus (have to go to OZ first :) ). I'm was thinking of either a 30gal cube or something similar in gal. size. I assume a 36in long tank would be the best? over a 24in like a 20gal. I'm planning on transferring over most of my corals from my current nano and getting 30lbs of liverock through floridaliverock.com (I'll be sure to post the hitchhikers when I get em). Being as I am designing the tank for an O. scyllarus (or other Stomatopod of similar size G. ternatensis maybe) would you recommend against a glass tank. I would think the glass would be thick enough, but I am also going to drill the tank for an overflow. I'm not sure structurally what this would do to the tank if a couple good whacks were taken. Or would you just say forget it and go acrylic? Sorry for the jumbled mess of sentences that makes up this message.
Thanks,
Aaron

Oh, and I do have experience with mantids, but I thought the experience would be a little different between my old N. wennerae and and O. scyllarus.
