ORA Green Bird's Nest in trouble???

Hi there,
I have recently purchased this ORA green bird's nest and I noticed the interior to be white but I can see the polyps slightly.
I was told I just needed to reposition him to the light and it will be good as new?

It has been a week and still no changes. Hes at the top of the tank with high flow specifically hitting the "white areas".

Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I have the same coral. I placed it in high flow, high light when I first got it. It was ok, but did not thrive. I moved it to med/high light, but lower more random flow. It now thrives and is growing rapidly. I suggest you try moving it and see what happens.

Goodluck

the lower branches on mine that don't get light are white, but they still polyp. IMO this coral is pretty hard to kill. It's always good to start off corals on the bottom, but in this picture, the coral looks fine. I would be more concerned if it did not polyp.

As long as there are still polyps present you are ok to keep doing as you are. As soon as you see that polyps in that area are completely gone you need to frag it again and take the dead area completely away. If you don't it has a high chance of spreading to the rest of the frag. Just keep an eye on it.
