Poor pic skills....above pic looks more like a pearlberry. Joe is a more green version of blue voodoo for me...

Agreed, that pic looks nothing like mine or anyone elses pics that Ive seen, not that it couldnt be. I dont have a decent pic but it looks very much the same as all the ora pics, green base with blue highlights and tips, it is a nice coral

Mine came straight from ORA as a Joe the Coral specimen. In fact, I have a pearlberry too and they're definitely different. I just took a picture that shows both. Sorry about the bad quality, but I just took the picture without putting much effort into it. In any case, the pearlberry (on the left side) is not quite the same coral. I have my tank under a 20K 150W Radium bulb, and I noticed a significant change in the colors of all my corals (for the better) when compared to the 14K Ushio I previously had. Let's see some more pics from other Joe owners!

Some of these damn things look so much alike it is silly how difficult it is to figure out what is what.

I agree that Joe, blue voodoo, borealis, and few others ORA has diff names for have a little more blue here and a little more green there.
Belina is pretty decisive thought with deep purple skin and lime green polyps.
I've also seen purple plasma range in color from silvery irradescent purple to deep green in my own tanks!
Plum Crazy is definitive in that it's all purple too....

I'm running 14k ushio's and during the summer their time will be up. I'm thinking about switching over to hamilton 20k. How long until you noticed a difference in the color or your corals? Did you notice if the growth slowed after you switched over?I have an ora joe the coral and a boreallis. they are both pretty similar. Where do most of you guys have yours placed?It seems like mine colored up a little better after I moved them down towards the bottom. I'd like to post some picks of mine but cant figure out how,sorry.
