Orange/brown thing on green star polyp

Anybody know what this is on my green star polyp. A long clear tentacle comes out of it. But I didn't know gsp's could sting other corals. Not sure if it actually is part of the coral or not.

Figured it out after I posted. Vermetid snail. Took a screwdriver and popped the whole thing off.

Also GSP DOES attack other corals and will overrun them if given the chance

For what its worth i put it in my tank because "i have to frag my gsp" sounds more like a happy thing than an annoying one

Those things are so annoying! They seem fine at first but next thing you know they're sending out their strings and sweeping all over the place =/

Yeah I have been fighting them since the beginning of my tank. Some came on the LR. They can spread fast too! Good choice removing it!
