Orange Cap, before and after...

So... I've got this stuff growing out of my "you know what." I decided today to remove the mother colony and cut the bottom off. There were parts that were getting no light, that just bleached out. It was growing so close to the glass that I couldn't scrub the algae off! Basically this orange cap is just a huge pain. We took it out, took it out to the back porch, and cut it all up. I have some very large frags now, two that are larger than the size of your hand. My lights had already gone off for the second pic, so they are just actinics. First pic was taken months ago, this thing was bigger than that today. Just so you can get an idea... Anybody want to take any of this off my hands? Sale or trade!

You should try to trim it so it grows out rather than up, maybe by clipping it when it starts to grow up and leaving it when it grows out, might be cool. I am going to have to give you a frag of the nanae, it has purple tips and grows quickly, you should put it up high and let it grow. Hit me up if you want some.

Yea, I can get some too you as well, I have plenty. I don't have any photos of it, but I will steal some from Satori, cause I got it from him. It is the acro that is covering the overflow.

I bumped up satori's thread, should be around page 7 or so, its the purple tipped guy on the overflow.

I know the feeling, I've got 5 different Caps that I let grow. They are kinda gluing my rock together. One goes into super growth mode when it touches a M. Digitata branch and completely encrusts the branch in a few weeks. Kinda cool looking branches then, even gets the purple growth tips.

Hey guys, I accidentally broke off about 1.5 inch segment of the acro. nanae while cleaning the glass. If anyone wants it let me know because it isn't mounted and will probably disappear soon.

For sure; I gave the other piece to Rob because I know he has been wanting some. I actually fragged a couple pieces for him a while back, but I think they got lost in the frag tank up front or something. Anyway, its first come first serve dealio, if you want to drop by or something that might work. Or I could stop by your place and check out your tank. I might also be able to frag some PROP mille for you, its has red base with green hairs and blue tips, and the bottom base growth has a green fringe. Its really pretty, but it hasn't been a super fast grower in my tank.
