Orange gorg help

My Orange gorg is not happy. Regular feedings if reef snow,daphnia,cyclops,mysis and whatever else is flying around the tank.
The gorg was growing but stopped. Parameters are normal. Nice flow.... Some of the tips are dying. Any help us appreciated.

A picture would be apreciated to see whick gorg is it. Mysis seems too big generally for a gorg. If the size of the food and the flow is not the correct, most end up starving. Some, as Muricella and acalicygorgia are very hard to get happy and most die.

I have tried like hell to post pics. I even downloaded photobucket. No pics come up. Anyway, its an orange gorg with red polyps. Well....they used to be red.

Were the polyps big? Somewhat flowershaped?

Flower shaped. I am frustrated as I am smart and can't get pics.

if so its a swiftea exerta. Try bbs, frozen/live rotifers, PE calanus (the new cycloppez).

They deteriorate quickly. If you see a white growth/undergrowth where the skin is dying off - it may be a bacteria infection - i would cut off the dead areas and scrape off any white/bacteria residue.

I had a healthy specimen die in 2 days due to bacteria infection (from fragging).

Spectorman, Is it still closed? Recentley my Swiftia had this happen. It seemed as if was going into shed, but my phosphates were creeping so I figured it was stressed- BUT after taking a close look and it not opening for almost 2 weeks, I began to notice some small copepod like critters that were only on it's branches(never seen them before) and there was some tissue missing in places. I dipped the gorg in Rx,washed it off well along with some water changes to the tank. The polyps began opening and a few days later the colony has began to shed and re-emerge to it's fullest! inspect it to see if anything unusual is on it and check your phosphates! best of luck and let us know if anything worked out with the gorg!
