Very underrated fish, IMO. They are often pale and unattractive in the LFS, but they darken and color up quite nicely in the aquarium. I originally bought two, but they never really got along; didn't fight, just didn't hang out together either. They both more than doubled in size. Eventually one died. I still have the other.
Mine would always hang out around the bottom of the tank, but always in the open, so you could always see them. At night, they hung out up above all the corals. They ate anything, even flake and pellets. They had no problem competing for food with my crazy anthias, wrasses, and other fast moving fish. Their calm, hovering appearance was actually a nice break from the Grand Central Station that is my tank
I've got a group also. Great little fish. Like Peter said they eat anything and have no problem getting their share even with my aggressive tang and angels. Mine ate after only a few hours in the tank.
Like with most of the cardinals I would only buy well acclimated fish's.
