Oh, I still have your garbage can, but you probably wouldn't want it now... it ended up getting converted into a real garbage can.

This coral encrusts and grows small branches at the same time.
Yup true PPE but only one polyp though .. After I rearrange the stuff a bit, you can stop by. I'm running out of room. The dang 50G is too small and I have too many junks in there ..

It's not really an encruster. I saw the mother colony last summer. I'd say it resembles a thick plated Idaho Grape with branches stiking out of it.

I think I have some growing out the side of my barbeque where a beer cup got to close last year. But mines more red than orange!

I love both but I saw a thread that compared the two and the Danae is brighter. It's hard to believe but I saw the pics. Now I have to get the Danae. That is a really cool piece. I'm going to Atlants now so maybe I can talk them into fragging it for me.

I would love to get both. Who was the person to discover the Orenji? I thought it was you Karl. I never got very far in Japanese but does Orenji mean orange? I looked it up in my text but it's not in there.

It's the Orange Danae that The Captive Reef had for $175. Unfortunately, Mike's not selling it anymore. He was cool with me calling it the Orenji. It just means 'an orange'
Like I said in the other thread, some of the coral names are too effeminate. Orenji puts hair on its chest. Especially, when you yell it like a Samurai.

Yeah I just got a piece recently too, but I havent looked at it since sunday. I saw the reefready mother colony in person and it really pops out too.
Unarce: you into Samurai Champloo? I watch it occasionally on Adult Swim. Although my fav samurai cartoon right now is Afro Samurai, you can't beat having Samuel L Jackson do voices lol.
