I have an orange spot fille fish . Only one now (female) as her 'mate' (male) died. I may get bonded pair to add to the tank , which is right now just 37 gallons. Some point I woudl like to up it to a 50-60. But now it's a 37. The once pair seemed totally fine with this size tank (37). I'm sure as they grow I will have the larger tank fwiw.
**Is it likely for the then trio be civil with each other? I'm thinking the current female may be agressive at first at least which may overcome any agression from the 'pair'(?)
I may want to as soon as I find one, get a male for the female.
BTW I had the passed male for a year, he was totally healthy until one day found dead. I am thinking he was caught by a hermit.. WHich I will try to find any medium large ones and get them out. Or possibly got injured by a small pump in the tank that has fish access to the impeller.
