I had 6 fish and all of them died in the past couple weeks except my orange spotted sand shifting goby. He shows no signs of ich at all. Are these fish imune to ich? He is the only fish left and I want to know when I can start the countdown until I can have fish again. Will the life cycle of the ich be broken with him still in there?

They are not immune to Marine Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans). They will and can carry it. They will and can continue its life cycle.

For the tank to lay fallow to get rid of Marine Ich, the goby will need to be removed for the full time. It is best to go ahead and treat the goby (hyposalinity would be my preference) while waiting for the tank to clear of Marine Ich.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will have my 125 up and running in about a week. I will leave the goby in the 50 and treat him after I put everything from the 50 in the 125 except the sand and some base rock for him to hide under.
