Orangespot Diamond Goby

I got a 4 inch Orangespot Diamond Goby 3 days ago. It hasant sand sifted. It just sits under the rock on right side of the tank. Just sitting there. I put some shrimp next to it yesterday.Its still there. Is it stressed or is this normal behavior. Any advice.

Sounds odd.... they typically sift the sand continuously. What else is in the tank? It may be afraid to come out from it's hiding spot.

Its a new fish, they sometime are stressed and dont move around till they used to the new surrondings,But as Laf said they are typically sifting the sand...

It r.i.p this morning. Next to its cave. I was going to buy another one. which sand sifters are hards and can handle its own. I have a lil 3 inch dog face puffer, and a 1 in a half inch huma. Im really bummed though.

Sorry to hear it didn't make it. The orange spot diamonds are very hardy... some would even say aggressive.

I know it's too late for this one but was it sifting sand at the LFS?
