Anyone else with brighthouse ISP having issues accessing ORCA website?
I get

You have attempted to access this site with an invalid IP.

If you think this is a mistake you can contact the site webmaster at webmaster(at)o-r-c-a(dot)com.

Be SURE to include the following information in any email!
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1064 Safari/532.5
Remote Address: 184.91.106.5
Client IP: none
Forwarded For: none

PLEASE: bear in mind that even if you have done nothing wrong, you may be getting this page due to someone's misuse of the site in your ip range

My IP does seem weird, but that changed few days ago after brighthouse did some repairs, I was able to access ORCA fine yesterday just changed today to that message. :sad1:

I was getting this starting yesterday to. I tried all the other endings to the site (.org, .net) and it still came up with the same message.

I use Brighthouse and am able to access the site without any problems. Try releasing and renewing your IP address.

Can't ;) I always get same one back unless brighthouse resets something. I think the cause is that they gave out new set of IP addresses to people in some areas of orlando. Like I said my IP changed after recent downtime to something way different. It might totally brand new addresses too because site like speedtest.net can't even figure out where in US I am located, before it would place me in FL now just puts a star in the center of US.

Not really sure how that Sentinel Protected thing works on ORCA but it's either has long list of accepted IPs that it allows through or for some reason something similar to 184.91.106.5 IP is blocked, like anything 184.91.X.X etc.

Still blocked by Sentinel on ORCA website. Can any ORCA admins look into this please.

Again error I get is

You should be able to access the site now after I put a workaround in place, I'll fix it tonight.

If it still doesn't work let me know.

I just edited some IP ranges. Please give it another try and let me know if it works or not.

From what I can tell from Cesar's hard work investigating your problem, it appears that some of the IP addresses that Brighthouse is using (a new development?) is from a range that had been reserved and a part of the security software is blocking IP addresses falling into that range.

I manually edited the range that Cesar identified as what Brighthouse is using (in addition to other ranges) to no longer be reserved but to be "normal" IP addresses for a computer in the USA.

Hopefully this will fix your problem.

Yep I am able to visit ORCA now thanks.

Yeah, we had outage few days ago and since then I have this new weird IP address.

Glad it is working for you again.

It can cause problems when they reassign IP subnets and security software doesn't keep up with it. We do a couple things on the ORCA site to cut down on spam etc.. In this case one of the security programs said that your IP address was invalid and kept you from entering the site.

Since it appears to have affected a couple people I'm glad we were able to get it taken care of fairly quickly.
