Got a DFS Australian Red And Green Acan Lord from diversden on Friday. Upon opening, the bag was very deflated and void of a lot of water. I acclimated as usually and a little longer per phone call to Liveaquaria.
Brown jelly like substance started appearing during acclimating and continued to be present until last night. I was told the jelly is a self defense measure to retain moisture and is a positive sign.
This morning the jelly is gone but the tissue is rather pale(almost white) and there is a half inch of exposed skeleton.
I am thinking about dipping in seachem's coral dip which is an iodide solution but I am worried about adding more stress.

Randy,

Congratulations on your purchase of the beautiful Australian Red And Green Lord
Acanthastrea lordhowensis. We would recommend that you hold off on dipping the coral and continue to keep an eye on the specimen as it seems to be stressed and may need more acclimation time. If we can be of further assistance please feel free to contact us.

You are a valued customer and we look forward to hearing from you.
