osc/tomato clowns with maroon

I already have 1 goldbar maroon clown and want to get another pair of clowns. What clowns have better chance to get along with the maroon? If I get a pair, I'll also get a red tip anenome. Thanks.

I had a maroon clown and they DO NOT get along well with any clowns unless you get another of the opposite sex. Mine fought violently when introduced into a 30 gal with an oscellaris.

tomato clowns may work being that they are larger and more dominant but i personally wont try it again. Maybe it will work for you!

i'd say a pair definitely won't work vs. a single GSM... if you get a smaller one of another species, it might pair up or the maroon might ignore it, but they are hyper aggerssive, so i doubt one would tolerate a pair.

My gsm will host in anything. But all aren't alike. Go over to the clownfish column and there will be faq's on clownfish and pairing up. GSM's are a little different than some. You have to wait for awhile, let one get big and it will be your female. Then after a while you introduce a small second one and it will be the male. I think the males can turn female but once they're female you're stuck with it being female.
